  • GOUT
When a gout attack strikes, the intense pain stops you in your tracks. Lowering your serum uric acid may help decrease these gout attacks. But did you know that current gout treatments, like allopurinol, don't always control your uric acid? And some people can't take the current treatments for gout because of side effects. Now there may be another option. Clinical research studies for an investigational medicine for gout are underway in research centers across the country. These clinical research studies are being conducted to see how an investigational medicine may work to lower high uric acid levels - the cause of gout and gout attacks. If you are between the ages of 18 and 85 and have gout, you may be eligible to participate in one of these important clinical research studies. Whether your gout is in hiding or on the attack, now is the time to act! To find out more, call 361-574-7800. Contact us
